- We, the members of the First Presbyterian Church of Newport, Oregon, believe in a holy, just, merciful, gracious, loving, and living God Creator, Redeemer, and Comforter, who comes to us as Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior.
Mission Statement
- We, the congregation of the First Presbyterian Church, Newport, Oregon share a Vision where individuals and families grow in spirit and their relationship with God, a place where we learn to better serve God’s whole community. In love and obedience to God, and by the power of the Holy Spirit, our mission is to:
- Reach past ourselves to those whom God has placed around us
- Draw them into the adventure of the Christian faith
- Learn together to follow Jesus with joyful devotion, and
- Go out as changed people transforming our world for our Triune God
Welcome Statement
- The First Presbyterian Church of Newport, Oregon welcomes all persons to join in worship and fellowship within a community of hospitality. We share a vision of Jesus Christ calling all to His table. “There is no longer Jew nor Greek, there is no longer slave nor free, there is no longer male nor female; for all of you are one in Christ Jesus” (Galatians 3:28).
